Father's Day 2018

Tuesday, June 19, 2018

We had the very best time making the day all about my husband Sunday. We woke up and he opened his gifts. Charlee made him a canvas and I purchased concert tickets, a babysitter, and a hotel room for August. He has been saying for months that he wanted to go to this concert and everything finally aligned for us to be able to go. We started the weekend off by going to Mexican Friday to celebrate J's cousin's stepdaughter's 12th Birthday. It wasn't a good experience at the restaurant and we home to call it a night. Saturday we woke up to a new day and another birthday party.  Charlee had a blast playing with kids her age on the playground at the party.

Then after a quick nap in the car we were off to another birthday party but this one was the skating ring. We skated and played laser tag. laser tag was so much fun and Charlee had the best time shooting everyone. After the party we went home to clean up and meet everyone at a new taco place. We filled our bellies and called it a night.
Sunday we woke up and celebrated daddy. That morning it thunderstorm so we just relaxed and played at home. Then headed to Costco for groceries and headed home to meal prep.
I made my first meal in our new instapot. Mongolian Beef. I will share the recipe later this week but it was DELICIOUS! The meat was so tender and just pulls apart and that isn't like typical flank steak.

Cheers to the very best weekend celebrating the man both Charlee and I adore.
